RWN Pump & Fabrication Is Now Vortex Equipment Solutions: What Changes and What Doesn’t

Craig Kennedy
CEO | VORTEX EQUIPMENT SOLUTIONS

The short answer: RWN Pump & Fabrication is now Vortex Equipment Solutions, effective November 4, 2026. It’s the same Texas company, with the same leadership, crew, shop, phone number, pricing and open orders. The name, logo, web address and email domain are changing, and old web and email addresses forward automatically.
If you’ve stood next to one of our pump packages at full throttle, you know the feeling: thousands of gallons spinning, pulling and pushing exactly where they’re told to go. That spinning water has a name. It’s a vortex, and starting today, so are we.
RWN Pump & Fabrication is now Vortex Equipment Solutions. Same shop, same crew, same obsession with building pump packages that hold up in the field. This post covers why we made the change, what you’ll notice and, most importantly, what stays exactly the same.
Why did RWN Pump & Fabrication change its name?
Because “RWN” never told anyone what we do. For years that was fine. Most of our business came from people who already knew us: rental companies, operators and contractors who’d seen our units work and called us back. A three-letter name works when everyone in the room already knows the story.
That’s not how buyers find vendors anymore. Today’s procurement managers, project engineers and fleet managers do most of their research online before they ever pick up the phone, and more of that research now happens inside AI assistants and answer engines. A name that doesn’t describe the business makes us harder to find for exactly the people we’re best equipped to help.
Our work has also grown. We design and build custom pump packages, filtration systems, sound-attenuated units, hose reels and manifolds. We refurbish and upgrade existing equipment, and we support rental fleets. We serve oil and gas, municipal and infrastructure work, disaster response and rental customers across the country. We needed a name with room for all of it.
Why the name Vortex?
A vortex is water with purpose. In a centrifugal pump, the impeller sets the fluid spinning, and that rotation is what turns engine horsepower into flow and pressure. Without it, nothing moves.
That’s the role we want to play for our customers. When a rental fleet needs units turned around fast, when a frac site needs water moving around the clock, or when a storm leaves a town underwater, we want to be the force that gets things moving again. “Vortex Equipment Solutions” says that in a way “RWN” never could.
What’s changing?
Over the coming weeks, you’ll see the new name show up in a few places:
Name and logo on new builds, quotes, invoices and paperwork.
Website: we’re moving to govortex.com. Every page on rwnpumpfab.com will redirect to its new home, so bookmarks and saved links keep working.
Email: our addresses move to @govortex.com. Messages sent to old addresses will continue to reach the same people.
LinkedIn: our company page becomes Vortex Equipment Solutions, with more build photos, project stories and field lessons from our team.
Spec sheets and catalog: redesigned under the new brand and organized by application, so it’s easier to find the right unit for dewatering, oil and gas, disaster relief, infrastructure or rental fleets.
What isn’t changing?
Everything you actually rely on us for stays exactly where it is.
Leadership. Craig Kennedy, Carl Jackson, Brendan Iler and the rest of our leadership team are still running the business.
The crew. The same fabricators, welders and mechanics are building, wiring and testing every unit before it leaves the shop.
Your contacts, pricing and open orders. Quotes, purchase orders and work in progress carry forward unchanged.
The phone number. Same number, same people, including when it rings at 2 a.m.
How we build. Heavy-duty frames, welds done right where nobody looks, components a field crew can source and service, and units built for the worst day of the job, not the average one.
A new name on the door doesn’t change what happens inside the building. If anything, it’s a promise to keep raising the bar.
What do customers need to do?
For most customers, nothing. If your accounts payable or vendor management team needs updated vendor details, contact your usual representative and we’ll send everything over. Service, parts and refurbishment support for equipment already in your fleet continues exactly as before.
If you save contacts or bookmark our site, now’s a good time to update them to Vortex Equipment Solutions. If you don’t, the old ones will still get you to us.
What’s next for Vortex Equipment Solutions?
The name is the start, not the finish. Over the next few months you’ll see more from us: practical guides on spec’ing, running and maintaining pump packages; field lessons from our shop floor; and a growing product catalog with real specifications. We’ll also keep doing what built our reputation in the first place, which is answering the phone and solving the problem.
To everyone who has trusted us with a pump package, a refurb or a last-minute emergency build: thank you. You’re the reason we’re here, and you’re the reason we’re excited about what comes next.

When did the name change take effect?
The name change took effect on November 4, 2026. Signage, paperwork, the website and email addresses will transition over the following weeks.
Will my pricing, contracts or open orders change?
No. Existing quotes, pricing, purchase orders and work in progress carry forward unchanged under the new name.
